The Bible teaches that there is no Trinity. According to Trinitarianism the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are equal. According to the Bible the Father is greater than the Son. According to Trinitarianism God became man and lowered Himself to lower than an angel. According to the Bible God is not a man nor a son of man, and He doesn't change. According to Trinitarianism Jesus is God so He must be omnipotent. According to the Bible there was at least one town in which Jesus could do no great miracles because of the lack of faith of the townsfolk. According to Trinitarianism Jesus is God and He must be omniscient. According to the Bible Jesus doesn't know when the End will be, and he misquotes Scripture to boot!
If God wanted us to be Atheists we'd be born that way.

Quote:The reason skeptics mention that the word Trinity is not in the Bible is to counter, sarcastically, believers who whine about how the term "separation of church and state" is not in the founding documents of the United States. Sensible skeptics realize that the trinity might be defined in the Bible even if the word Trinity was not used. However, even a basic definition of the trinity, at least as most trinitarians imagine it, does not seem to be in the Bible either. The godhood of Jesus is not clearly spelled out in the Bible, contrary to what many believers believe. "It is my observation and experience that the only thing which is clear about Christianity in general is that it is not clear." - Mez1 on the Skeptics Annotated Bible Message Board |

Seriously, what is WITH these people and the trinity? They keep going on and on, as if we care in the first place how many voices they have in their heads, and not a single one has ever told me exactly why this is even remotely important.
The only thing the trinity, or lack of trinity proves to me is that either Christians are polytheists who worship multiple gods, or they can't count. "I am a jealous God, and there is no other God beside me." But by announcing this he indicated to the angels who attended him that there exists another God. For if there were no other one, of whom would he be jealous? - The Apocryphon of John (II 13:9-12) ***NOTE: All references to any God, gods, or other metaphysical concepts are hypothetical in nature and do not imply belief in said deities unless specifically indicated. I still don't know why they feel the need to tell us. Most of us don't believe what the Bible says about God anyway, much less how many of them they have.
I mean, if they want to hash this crazy non-issue out on their own boards, that's fine and dandy, but we have a whole Bible full of other, better things we could be talking about. "I am a jealous God, and there is no other God beside me." But by announcing this he indicated to the angels who attended him that there exists another God.
