Has anyone ever turned the other cheek in human history without being a total git? Probably so, it's just that I can't think of any such instances at the moment. Does the absolute acceptance of Buddhist monasteries during the Manchurian invasion of China qualify or the neutrality of the French when Hitler attacked? If I punched you right now, I'd love to see you not follow this commandment. (as long as you don't expect the same treatment from me) I may be mistaken on this point, but doesn't the Koran say not to attack retreating, surrendered and defenseless enemies?
