I've read the entire book of Mormon, and this verse throws me for a loop. 3rd Nephi, 11:21
Didn't Nephi already have the power to baptize? Wasn't he running around in previous chapters baptizing the faithful? Or at least, he clearly had the power to work miracles in God's name.
Further reading in this chapter brings the question... why do these people all need to be baptized if they're already the faithful members of the church? Why do they need to be baptized a second time?
