Well, actually, the verse does not say that Yahweh agreed that this would come true. Strictly speaking the verse only records a rhetorical response from the crowd; no vocie from Heaven boomed back "So be it".

It does not have to be an injustice committed by god to be marked." For injustices not committed by Yahweh, though, the Biblicists can say "That's life, we just report it". Now, an injustice committed by Yahweh is a different story.

But when they try to legislate The Books, because it's such a perfect book, and the morals in it are so perfect, we should all adopt them, any actions of characters in the narrative become subject for scrutiny. IS this action clearly labeled as approved, or disapproved, by the Lord? Does it say, anywhere "This is what happened BUT IT SHOUD NOT HAVE" or "And afterwards, God amended his commandments to show the people to never do it again?" or "but they went to hell, later, for misrepresenting the desires of God" ??

Posts: 7 10/18/06 07:49:24	In the story, the mob shouts the rhetorical taunt that they and their children will take the blood of Jesus on them if Pilate won't. Since they are the antagontists in the story, this rhetorical taunt has no more force than if they had told Pilate "If you don't do it, you can suck us and our kid's *****"".
