Quote:So, here we have it; false prophets are those whose prophesies don't come true.
KJV: "And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him."
So why then weren't all the prophets whose messianic prophesies have not yet been fulfilled deemed to be false prophets; why are their books included in the bible? Even if we take a lenient stance and say that the prophesies might be fulfilled in the future, the status of these prophets should be "put on ice" until that time.
Faith exists at the expense of reason.
