We hear of people "talking" with God all the time, (in prayer, etc) God "answers" them. Moses and God carried on a conversation. If that happened today, both God and Moses would have been put in a straight Jacket. Moses would have been asked, "How long have you had this delusion?" The Bible could only have been written in such a period of ignorance.. No one today believes you can talk to and with a spirit, but many still do it.
A spirit has no vocal chords, cannot move air, and as such one cannot hear with ears, as a normal conversation."But I hear Him with my heart," is the normal response. This is silly, you can't hear with your heart!
This leaves
1. mental telepathy - Unproven so far between humans, much less a human and spirit.
2. Imaginary conversation taken place within the mind. This presents problems.
How do you identify which spirit to whom you are "speaking?" If your mind gives you a "response" can you verify who it's from? "You may "think" "Lord, can you show me the way to go?" He " responds", "Yes." How do you know that wasn't Jeffery Dahmer that said "yes". For that matter, maybe it was your own mind that created that "Yes" answer.
