Once again this misconception like just about everything else on this website can be explained.

The short answer is that Jesus is Lord of Lords as appointed by God the father.

Ac 2:36 Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.

The long answer is that Jesus, God the father and the holy spirit are all one in the Holy Trinity. They are by nature God. Jesus submits to the father and was sent by the father but is equal to him in nature. As shown above God the father has appointed Jesus Lord of all.

If you are thinking that the Trinity is absurd consider the following verses:

Matt. 28:18, Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

1 Cor. 12:4-6, Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. 6And there are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons.

2 Cor. 13:14, The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.

Eph. 4:4-7, There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; 5one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. 7But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christs gift.

1 Pet. 1:2, "according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, that you may obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace be yours in fullest measure."

Jude 20-21, "But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith; praying in the Holy Spirit; 21keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life."

Also consider this verse that Jesus himself says:

Jn 5:19 Jesus gave them this answer: I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.

Who else can do only what he sees God doing? The disciples?? The pharisees?? Moses??

So if Jesus IS God in nature (John 1:1) and was there in the beginning it makes sense that he is Lord. This is also supported by the Psalm 110:1 which says

The Lord said to my Lord:
Sit at my right hand
until I put your enemies
under your feet.

To summarise::

The Lord God the Father says to David's Lord (apointed by the father) sit at my right hand until I put your enemies at your feet.

So who sits at the right hand of the father?? Jesus.


Mk 14:62 I am, said Jesus. And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.

Mk 16:19 After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.
