If God made Solomon wiser than any man before or after him, then how is it he fell into the practice of the Black Art's and became chief among all Sorcerers?

I think the point to this story is that it doesn't matter how great, wise, godly or spiritual a person is, all of mankind continues to be consistently corrupt, sinful, and naturally rebellious. If you ask me, I think this doctrine is a pretty useful tool for Christians to remain completely bigoted against direct logical facts. They'll go as far as saying, hey, I know my religion sounds like a total load, but you're wrong dammit! All mankind is corrupt, so you'll never know for sure!
