Q: In Matthew 22:12, Jesus depicts, in the course of a parable, a place of punishment called the outer darkness where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. This sounds like a description of hell. But other passages say that the fate awaiting the wicked is their destruction or death, not prolonged torment. Isnt this a contradiction?
