I was looking up the word "hate" in the concordance yesterday, and noticed these verses:
"The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil."
John 7:7
"If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you."
John 15:18
"Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you."
1 John 3:13
So, I'm just wondering, which is it? Can the world hate "you" (he's talking to the disciples, so I guess that's who the world can't hate), or not?
Is this a valid contradiction?
