This might very well still be a contradiction. If, in each of these passages, the entire intent of the prohibition was to be communicated, then we do have a contradiction. Unfortunately, we can't verify that this is not a contradiction.

Which makes me wonder why you emphatically state "No", this is NOT a contradicton, when all you have is a guess, which you seem to have no problem admitting.
