Sure; I thought I was pretty clear: I mean that Christians should manage their speech in such a way that their acquaintances will know that no oath is required to assure others that their words are true. And, to maintain that impression, Christians should avoid binding their promises with oaths (though, as I mentioned, formal oaths in a court of law might feasibly be considered exceptions, resembling something more like official deputization than personal attestation).
