Waterrock, you dig a deep hole, hard to respond to by reason of the many subjects introduced with each of your answers, and your speech is as long as mine...LOL!
Jesus compounded the strength of many old laws and left the basic thrust of each stand.
I feel that it is not wise to straightly follow the course of "Logic" in the matters of scripture, basically because Logic is of the mind and learned of men while scripture is spiritual and of the Holy Spirit given to men. This was brought to my attention while dealing with Athiests.
Logic is a great basic tool of the Athiests, as they all seek to win over the sheep for their master. When pressed, I have had some deny that they even possessed a spirit of any sort at all. When asked as to what the emotions were I was instructed that they came from the mind. Logic and Spirit do not mix very well!
The Greeks and the Pharisees loved Logic, and the Greek language has been described as the most detailed (I have ever read about). The Holy Scriptures must have driven them almost crazy!
