FM: "What exactly constitutes a "sign from heaven," or a "celestial sign," as you put it?" A visible or audible phenomenon occurring in the sky that co-incides with a person's prediction of it, or request for it, in such a way as to indicate that he has been favored by God. Some of the Egyptian Plagues in the days of Moses, the sundial/staircase of Hezekiah, and Elijah's "fire from heaven" are examples of celestial signs. Yours in Christ, Waterrock |

The "sign of Jonas" doesn't fit your current definition.

What about the voice from heaven saying " this is my son, with whom I am well pleased"? What about the transfiguration? What about the sky opening up and total darkness during the crucifiction?
