Seems that we have a prophecy that wasn't fulfilled. Jesus actually said that Peter would deny him 4 times. Sure, the gospel writers wrote 3 times, but that's not inconsistent with them really meaning 4 times. I mean, in order for Peter to deny him 4 times he'd have to first deny him 3 times first, right? In fact none of them say that Peter will deny him exactly 3 times. So immediately after Peter denied him a third time the rooster crowed for the second time (i.e. the first time). Obviously this prophecy failed because Peter only denied him 3 times instead of 4.
If God wanted us to be Atheists we'd be born that way.
