I feel that the translations have caused problems, along with certain churches and translations, I do believe the vital truth is there and most is in tact. I believe that Jesus quoting from scripture often was promising to us that the vital truth would always remain. We have to seek it. And yes we have to admit it has been translated not only from other languages but thousands of times. I know of one scripture right now off the top of my head that was added to back a certain church belief, John 5:7 and 5:8 added in the fourth century (some say it was not added) Jewish, rabbi's claim it was not in original texts. That belief has flooded most modern churches and causes a black mark to anyone who opposes it. I believe the vital truth is in scripture I believe you find it when only you seek it, and I believe finding it is easier now thanks to modern technology. As far as the men writing, I believe they were inspired by God, however there are times when reading Pauls writings he says this I say as a man, and other times he will say this by the Holy Spirit. (not a direct quote exactly, but you get the jest)... This is what I believe.
