Why can't what the Bible "doesn't say" be used?

Correct me if I am wrong, but you defend a local flood and 42 children being mauled by a she-bear based on what the Bible "doesn't say". You defend your viewpoint with what the Bible "doesn't say", but then attack others when they also use what the Bible "doesn't say".

Are you trying to have your cake and eat it too? Do you even realize that you are doing this?
