Posts: 265 11/02/05 22:33:43	I like #12 on the list of symptoms when one has committed the unforgiveable sin. "Physical Death... sometime in the future." If someone can name a condition that doesn't eventually lead to death, I'd like to hear about it. *Quote:* There are several things which can lead to someone eventually committing this sin: 1. A sinful lifestyle. 2. Ignoring God. 3. Indifference towards Jesus Christ. 4. Despair. 5. Presuming to be saved when in fact one is not. I'm guilty of four out of five of the items on the list that can lead to blaspheming the Goddamn Holy Ghost, but so far I haven't actually committed the sin. Oops! Guess I just did. Well, if my lips turn purple or I lose the ability to converse with people, I'll let you all know. Or rather, I won't, because I will have lost that ability. I think this will be an interesting experiment!

A mind boggling question, that most humans will stumble upon sometime in life is this, "I wonder when time started". According to the bible, God has always been and always will be. So even though that sounds illlogical to any human, it gives a perfect explaination of how time began. Time began when God created it, and before-hand, God infinitly existed. So when people say that there is no possible way there can be a God, its impossible. Just have them realize that there must have been something logically impossible to have occured sometime in the past, or else life as we know it would not exist. My explaination may sound confusing to some. If you do not understand it I am very sorry.

I doesn't matter if you killed 100 people, or said the Lord's name is vain just once. Without forgiveness, you will spend eternity in a lake of fire. Secondly, ALL sins are blasphemy against the holy spirit! Every single one. God is 100% just at all times, he doesn't pick and choose which sins are greater than others. Everyone will get the same eternal punishment. Thirdly, there is no sin that cannot be forgiven. Repeat, there is no sin that cannot be forgiven. It clearly says in the bible that once a sin is forgiven by God, he has forgotten all about it. Eternal punishment is reserved for the "Devil and His Angels" otherwise known as those who die in their sins (i.e.: without forgiveness) Fourth, basically, if you repent and accept Christ, your sins are forgiven and eternal life is your reward. Now, spending your time on a message board like this only tells me that everyone here is looking for answers. Why else would you so-called "aethiests" be here constantly arguing whether or not God exists? How can you prove to the world that he doesn't exist? instead of wrapping your mind around "who Matthew's biological father was", try thinking about the concept of eternity...no beginning, no ending.

I came to the Skeptics Annotated Bible after leaving Christianity to get another outlook on the "holy" book that had so thoroughly screwed my life over. I started reading the message boards to see what people had to say. I found that the regulars here were very intelligent and had very amazing insights into the stupidity of the various Christian belief systems. The more I got to know the regulars, the more I enjoyed communicating with them. I now spend time here because I love the regulars and it is my goal to help argue against the foolishness that is your religion as often as I can. So, no, I am not here trying to find Jesus or God. I forgive my kids all the time, even when i'm not really sure they understand what they did wrong, or have fully determined, in their hearts, that they should never do it again. if nothing else, they repent their sins against me when i paddle their butts. But if we're burning in hell, and repent all our transgressions, why can't we get forgiveness then?

Posts: 4 04/18/07 06:22:03	I heard it said that in order to commit this sin, you have to believe God exists like the demons do (which have faith but no works) and that if you call violence good and peace bad that you're practically commiting the unpardonable sin. I heard that it's the Holy Spirit that leads people to remorse (repentance) and to do good (you don't even need to know it exists and it's there). So in other words, does this mean I'd have to be a psycho sociopath? Interestingly, this unpardaonable sin condition resembles "christians" that are really hypocrites.
