Quote:And yet, how big i am compared to an ant living in a speck of dust collected in a corner of the parking lot roof. Should i promise the ants to protect them if they propitiate me?
Notice how small you are compared to the size of your surroundings.
What could an ant offer me, though?
Sorting a jumble of seeds into individual piles doesn't come up as a requirement nearly as often as one might think.
Maybe they should just love me, for i am unimagineably huge to them. Would that be enough for me? I'd have to believe them, Ants just don't have enoughguile to fool me.
I would be magnanimous to the ones that love me, dropping slices of banana down on the Faithful, but punishing the apostate with a cup of water, to flood their tunnels and drown the blasphemous.
Or....
I could just get in my car and go share a life with other godlike giants of my own scale and never even remember any promises made to that ant pile.
