Yeah, that does seem silly doesn't it. I ask Christians this all the time. Why does god create billions of people only to end up having to send most of them to etrrnal torture simply because they decided they didn't want to spend their lives telling him how wonderful he is, especially since he supposedly designed us and KNOWS that we will make this choice. The hell story is silly. But, it is in the bible, so I can understand why Christians believe it. But, since I don't trust the bible, I think the hell story is bogus.

But there is a difference. Christians believe in god even though they cannot prove god exists. We can prove that 2+2 = 4. Christians invoke "faith" regarding their beliefs, which proves they have no proof, where faith is unecessary in mathematical calulations.
