I don't quite see that Christianity is a sequel religion (they seem pretty different to me). I can agree that Christianity has borrowed ideas and icons from the Jews, but so has Islam (maybe others?).
Jewish laws come from some certain writtings (Torah mainly), and Messianic prohecies come from other writtings and I'm not sure they overlap. (Can you give an example within the same author of a Messianic prophecy and a law?). They are bound together for convenience, I guess, but they're weren't all the same book originally, right?
