Paul says that because sin entered the world through one man the atonement had to be made by a man.
But Genesis says the first sinner was a woman.
Shouldn't the Messiah have been a woman?
No. had Adam rejected Eve's offering of the fruit sin wouldn't have taken place. God put man in charge of the Earth. Adam, that is. Though the first sin was of the serpent (not actually the serpent, but the spirit creature who used the serpent) the first sin as far as Adam or man was concerned was through Adam.
