This really shows your intelligence. Squish the spider? The spider did nothing wrong. That would be like blaming the victim for you looking at them. This is typical of the bible teachings. Not to mention the Koran. Blame the victim. Try going around the cobweb instead of blaming the spider for YOUR actions. Killing the spider is not a good example.

In the metaphor, the spider is the man's nature. How's how supposed to metaphorically go around it?
