Speaking strictly of observations such as the ones relating to the moths in England and the Galapagos birds, science can't prove whether those traits existed in the gene pool before hand or if they were in fact mutations.
Existed in what form? Where in the gene pool? Can you find them and show them to me? Why are you bitching about "assuming", when you make a pretty big assumption right here yourself?
As for your example, worms adapting to bacteria does NOT signify macro-evolution.

YOU BELIEVE THAT EVERY ORGANISM ON EARTH HAS TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SETS OF DNA: ONE THAT CHANGES AND ADAPTS OVER TIME, THAT IS SUBJECT TO MUTATION, GENE DUPLICATION, GENETIC DRIFT, ECT. AND ONE THAT IS COMPLETELY UNCHANGING AND IS COMPLETELY INDESTRCTABLE AND ALREADY HAS EVERY POSSIBLE CHANGE AND MUTATION IN IT.
YOU MUST BELIEVE THIS, BECAUSE THAT IS THE ONLY GODDAMN PHYSICAL MECHANISM THAT COULD POSSIBLY WORK WHICH WOULD INTRODUCE SUCH A "LIMIT" AND EXPLAIN YOUR OTHER BELIEFS. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN THIS, THAN YOU MUST BELIEVE IT WORKS BY MAGIC, BECAUSE YOU SURE HAVEN'T GIVEN A BETTER EXPLANATION.
