Geological evidence?

So are you guys saying that I'm choosing to interpret the Quran to find miracles that suit my religious beliefs?

No, at least I'm not. You might do that, I dunno, but not here. I'm saying you're interpreting or misunderstanding science.

The 7 layers of ozone (which should've read atmosphere, sorry) and the embryonic development cycle is just me interpreting things to bolster my ridiculous cause?

Those are man-made distinctions, like the lines drawn on a map. It's not some part of the natrual world that nobody back then could have possibly known about without supernatural aid.

Unless there is a quote in the Koran that says "God says one day, men will break down the embryonic development cycle into three stages for easier study", than it's just a coincidence.

Also what's this about the Red Sea splitting being vastly improbable? Is it because we have never seen it happen for ourselves?

Actually, I have read the article you're thinking about. It requires there to be a reef for them to walk across, otherwise it IS impossible. Another possibility I've seen is that "Red Sea" is a mistranslation, and that Moses actually crossed a much smaller "sea of reeds". Neither occurrence would be a particularly exciting or impressive miracle.

Either way, that still just means it's possible that the story of Moses was inspired by someone escaping by running across a reef. It doesn't mean it happened like the book says it did.

But much like the splitting of the Red Sea, Macro-evolution has never been seen.

The difference between micro- and macro- is also a man-made distinction. It's exactly the same process, so you really can't have one without the other. Macro-evolution is what happens when micro-evolution is stretched out over a long time, and the population in question accumulates a whole lot of little changes, making it vastly different than it was.

Unless you can postulate some means by which a creature's genome can become immune to mutation, genetic drift, copy errors, ECT after a certain amount of time, than I can't see how micro-evolution could exist without macro-evolution.

I leave you with these...

Creationist sites are notorious for purposely creating long lists of misleading quotes in order to deceive people. This process is known as quote mining. This kind of abuse is well documented among creationists. Don't trust any quotes from any site unless they link you back to where the quote was taken from.

Religion encysts past mythologies: guesses, hidden assumptions of trust in the universe, pronouncements made in search of personal power, all mingled with shreds of enlightenment. And always an unspoken commandment: Thou shalt not question! We break that commandment daily in the harnessing of human imagination to our deepest creativity.
