But atheists don't kill people, do they?Not in the name of atheism, no. In the name of Communism, "The State", power, "the greater good", greed, etc. sure. The point was, you were making it out that only Christians were subject to the Soviet secret police and persecutions. They weren't. Many suffered, not just Christians, and not in the name of Atheism, but in the name of Communism, Socialism, and power hungry madmen. |

So, let's sum up:
The topic was violence that Christians do to fellow Christians. You say "Jesus knew that non-Christians would betray their Christian relatives", and to back that up, you cite the persecution that the USSR did to Christians. ...while ignoring that it wasn't just Christian persecution, that all religions were being repressed. Rendering it useless as a story to back up Christians being set apart for persecution. But no! Your point was that all religions were targetted in Soviet Russia. Rendering it a non-sequitor. But damn those atheists anyway! It must've been their atheism that caused those power-hungry madmen to target people adhering to anything but the State. Yeah! What was your point again? |
