Unfortunately, Abraham's legacy goes on to this day. Parents continue to brutalize, torture, and even kill their children because they believe it is God's will. The official stance of most churches is to frown on such things when they go too far, but they don't even seem to notice that they are celebrating and perpetuating these kinds of horrors.
