The best starting point to find out what JWs believe is thier official website.

You don't really believe this, do you?

Actually, I do believe that. If nothing else, you will see far less misinformation there.

The best thing to do, my friends, is to read ALL the material, pro or con, in any order, and then force the members of the orgainzation to account for themselves with respect to the negative press.

Absolutely. That's why I said "starting point". However, if you don't know what parts of the "negative press" they confirm and what parts they don't, you can end up looking like you simply want an excuse to attack.

For example, the SAB entries on the JWs and soul/body/spirit is based upon a misunderstanding of the doctrine (SAB seems to think the JWs beieve the soul is the body is the spirit, JWs actually believe the soul contains both the body and the spirit). If Steve had checked WTBTS literature to make sure he knew what the doctrine was before he wrote those entries, they would have used different language, if they existed at all.

They must PROVE their position. Reading a single web site is not enough.

The KKK has a long history of racism, so I can see you wanting to say "Prove you don't have racist beliefs anymore." I'm not sure how this principle applies to WTBTS doctrines. What doctrines might the JWs have that you think they would deny?
