Regardless of his meekness or lack thereof, I would expect more tact from the Son of God. John was just a man, so his rudeness is understandable. Christ was divine, and one would think that he would have enough dignity not to stoop to name-calling.

Then again, if Christ was also just a man, it all makes sense...
