Wow, Waterrock, I've just read a post from you that is actually reasonable and not loaded with strange conjecture and redefining terms.
I agree that "unto this day" does not necessitate an extremely large amount of time (it could refer to a very lengthy lapse, of course, but could also refer to a moderate passage of time).
Now, if you could make all of your arguments with simple reasoning like this and stay away from the oddities and hoop-jumping, you might be able to get somewhere with some of us skeptics.
