Quote:
Genesis 19:1-11 Two Angels come to Sodom, and Lot invites them in. A crowd asks Lot to give them the two men so they can have sex with them. He offers to give them his two virgin daughters instead.
When I read that I wondered: What was really the sin of those men, that God hated? It could have been homosexuality, but it could have also been the fact that they wanted to rape the men. Or because they wanted to have sex with angels.
And lo! Look what I found here:
Quote:
Jude 6-8: And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.
I have a German bible, and at that part there's a little footnote, saying that the Angels married human women, while in Sodom, men wanted to have sex with angels.
So, that's it! Sodomy means sex with angels. It has nothing to do with homosexuality. Any passages that condemn Sodom cannot be used to condemn homosexuality.
