The point was, you were making it out that only Christians were subject to the Soviet secret police and persecutions. They weren't. Many suffered, not just Christians, and not in the name of Atheism, but in the name of Communism, Socialism, and power hungry madmen.

I visited Soviet Union in 1978 and was staying with Christians.
The family had to be very discrete as most of their extended families on either side of the marriage would have turned them over to the secret police for the reward if they had known the couple were Christians.

Earlier, when my parents were leaving Europe in the 1930's most of the people who helped them were Christians, specifically Lutherans and Protestants.

It is a major fallacy to say that if everyone was Christian that there would be no more violence among families and neighbors. Just look at the Puritans who committed the Salem witch trials. They were all Christians living in a Christian society with Christian laws and look what happened to them.
