When on shore, the fishermen collect the good fish, and throw away the bad fish.  But the Bible says that no human beings are good; Isaiah 64:6, for example, says that our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment to God. 			<description><![CDATA[ In both cases 'good' means satisfactory to the netsman.<br><br>Good fish, good people, either one is 'good' if they meet the criteria by which the net handler determines keeper/tosser criteria.  One uses tastiness, nutrition, the other uses morality.<br><br>Now, say the guy in the office who hires the net handler says 'keep only the good fish' then one of the old hands down at the beach tells the new net handler 'compared to the salmon they serve on the Boss' table, all we catch in these nets... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Right, the nutritional / tastiness `goodness' of fish is not like the moral `goodness' of humans. But the point of the analogy was that gathering fish was like gathering humans; and if there are good fish you keep and bad fish you throw away then surely so too with people! The bad ones rejected and who is accepted - the GOOD ones. Or else why the analogy?<br><br>As for WHY they are good and what sort of goodness it is, that is besides the point. The bible should have made all the explanations... ]]></description>
