The esiest interpretation of this "prophecy" is, that 70 weeks = 70 years (the gibberish seems to be an addition to Jeremiah's 70 years, mentioned in the first part of the chapter), and simply means that the jews were captured by the Babylonians, were taken captive, and after "70" years they'll be let to go back to the land they were taken captive. It is not necessary to understand the "prophecy" itself, but I'm just this maximalist, and I had enough that they try to fit these in Revelations, or on the Roman Empire. (the 4th beast there is the greeks, Alexander the Great's Macedon Empire (maybe this story tells about a little bit about its past, so..)

Here's a small contribution to debunk a prophesy.

Ezekiel 29:15 refers to how Egypt shall never be an important kingdom in the aftermath of the Egyptian's 40 year expulsion from the lands in Ezekiel 29 (which has already been conclusively proved to be cack by dint of not, er... happening.)
