<p>Yahweh &amp; Satan make a bet with Yahweh claiming Job will not lose his faith no matter how bad things get for him. Yahweh gives Satan permission to kill
Job&#39;s family (apparently their faith was pointless), destroy his livestock, etc, until Job is finally a disgusting mess of boils &amp; running sores. At
this point Job finally loses his faith.</p>
